Adopt a School in Rwanda
Through our new initiative, "Adopt a School in Rwanda," we aim to secure resources for the renovation and equipment of a school to enable its immediate operation, as well as to cover its essential operational expenses in the coming years. Although the school exists as a building, it has unfortunately never functioned due to a lack of funding. As time passes, the damages increase, along with the maintenance needs. Once operational, the school will be able to host 80 children (ages 3–6) from the Mukuyu area, which includes three villages with approximately 120 families.
Why should someone from Greece "adopt" a school in Rwanda?
Because this offers a unique opportunity to transform the lives of dozens of children and their families in one of the world’s vulnerable regions. Education is the foundation for development, equality, and poverty alleviation, yet in areas like Mukuyu, access to it is minimal or non-existent. Supporting a school ensures that children will have a safe learning environment, access to basic equipment, and the chance to dream of a better future.
In an interconnected world, supporting a school in Rwanda is not just an act of humanity but an investment in a better and fairer future for everyone. It is an opportunity to make a difference, offering hope and opportunities to children who would otherwise have little chance to improve their lives.

One off installation costs: 5.390€
Including: equipment, refurbishment, plumbing, educational material, outdoor space design, kitchen installation, 1 playground (4 items of playground equipment)
Annual operational costs: 4.538€
School meals for 80 children, allowance for 6 volunteer teachers, cleaning supplies, consumables, uniforms for 20 children from vulnerable families, and support for access to the healthcare system for 66 children.
